Seeds of Learning

Seeds of Learning is a tutoring service in Leamington, Cambridge (NZ), offering interest-based academic enrichment for children aged 3–12. We focus on hands-on learning, curiosity, and confidence-building—without pressure, workbooks, or testing. Children are given lessons on various topics including literacy, numeracy, science, geography, and more and do self-selected follow up work on these topics.

Traditional tutoring often focuses on worksheets, testing, and correcting gaps through repetition. At Seeds of Learning, we take a different approach: ✔ We follow the child’s interests to make learning meaningful ✔ We use Montessori materials and real experiences, not just paper and pencil ✔ We focus on confidence, independence, and understanding—not just memorising ✔ We build skills indirectly through purposeful exploration (e.g., learning fractions through baking, grammar through bird research)

Sessions at Seeds of Learning are led by qualified Montessori educators with years of teaching experience in both New Zealand and Canada. We specialize in following the child, building confidence, and integrating foundational academic skills through meaningful, hands-on learning.

Yes. Our environment is designed to be calm, sensory-friendly, and responsive to different learning needs. We welcome children with ADHD, ASD, gifted learners, reserved learners, and those who feel unstimulated or overwhelmed in traditional settings. We work at your child’s pace—with respect, encouragement, and understanding.
